Teacher Development for Teachers of English as a Foreign or Additional Language to Adults Programme Outline
Our Teacher Development Programme for Teachers of English as a foreign or Additional Language to Adults is a 60-hour programme, run over 2 weeks. Each week consists of 25 hours in the classroom + 5 hours of cultural excursions. Classroom time is divided between personal language development, and teaching development. In addition to Language Development Workshops, modules are offered in the following areas:
- Language Awareness – A Communicative Approach
- The Common European Framework of Reference for Languages
- Task-based Teaching and Learning
- Teaching and Learning Vocabulary - The Lexical Approach
- Pronunciation and the English Sound System.
- Developing Reading and Listening Lessons Using Authentic Texts
- Practical Ideas for Promoting Fluency
- ESP / EAP
- EFL Exams.
