Cork is situated on the south coast of Ireland and is the second largest city in the country. Located in one of the most picturesque parts of the country, this area offers beautiful scenery along with a diverse range of places to see and visit.
About the College
Cork University is situated on 44 acres of beautifully landscaped grounds bordering the River Lee.The university dates back to 1845 and caters for almost 11,000 students, during the academic year. The university is only 5 minutes from the city centre and has excellent accommodation and sports facilities.
Accommodation
Accommodation is provided in the Castlewhite or Victoria Lodge apartments. The standard accommodation, in the Castlewhite apartments, is arranged in apartments that have 4 or 5 tastefully furnished single rooms. Each apartment has a fully fitted kitchen, living room, shower and bathroom. The en suite accommodation, in Victoria Lodge apartments, is arranged in apartments of 2-5 rooms. The bedrooms are all en suite single rooms and the apartments include a shared living room and fully fitted kitchen. All bedrooms are supplied with bed linen and towels.
Sport & Recreational Facilities
Facilities include: indoor swimming pool, two indoor halls, tennis courts, a running track and several outdoor football pitches.
