Location

This campus is an attractively landscaped complex of modern architectural buildings, accommodating most Colleges and Schools of the university, its student residences and numerous leisure and sporting facilities.

About the college

Established in 1854, the university played a key role in the history of the modern Irish State. For over 150 years, UCD has produced graduates of remarkable distinction including famous surgeons, architects, entrepreneurs and five of Ireland's Taoisigh (Prime Ministers). Perhaps the best known of all its graduates is the writer James Joyce, who completed his Bachelor of Arts at the university in 1902.

Accommodation

Accommodation is available with full board in either student apartments (3,4,5 single beds) all ensuite or in spacious single, twin and triple standard rooms. The standard rooms have wash hand basins in every room. Showers and toilets are situated on each floor.

Sport & Recreational Facilities

There are a number of sport facilities available. There are 5 tennis courts and an indoor Sports Hall where students can play volleyball or basketball. There are outdoor hockey and astro turf pitches for soccer, rugby or team games. There are also common rooms where the students can socialise, watch TV, play table tennis or just relax!
